Does anyone work or run a satellite office? I’m in a role where our satellite office has no designated leadership that sits regularly with HQ decisions makers. It’s me and an ECD expected to run the day to day with no visibility into the network. We routinely get agency decisions rolling down to us without guidance on how to implement. My wife failed a tenancy referencing on the grounds of employment and pay because she is on mat leave. We have more than sufficient savings to cover rent for the whole year and yet she failed and the reason they stated is ‘we are not sure she will return back to work after X month’. Isn’t that discriminatory in nature and worth a legal fight? Worth adding she is getting full pay for 6 months, goes back to work after 8 months and the 7/8 month pay is only statutory of £650.

Hey fishes, I got confirmation of an offer from EY UK for a manager position. However the confirmation is only on mail, I did get a mail from the partner as well. Didnt recieve official contract yet, now I need to answer to another firm now. Although little uneasy in rejecting other offer before getting the contract. HR said it should take around a week, which will be tmrw. HR knows about the situation already & I feel chasing her again will just piss her off. Any suuggestions?
