I don't understand this concept. Prior to COVID also WFH was there. But no one had pay cut. If the performance of employee is not good during, then this concept is acceptable

If I absolutely had to,yes. But it doesn't make sense to me that working from home should mean paycut. The argument about saving money commuting doesn't make sense; we did not get salaries assigned based on our distance from the office when we began employment.

No way. I am arguably more productive at home and I would not feel comfortable doing the same amount of work for less pay just because I don't want to sit in an office. If that came up at my company I'd start looking elsewhere.
I am more productive working remotely. Company should increase my pay rather than pay cut
