Depends on the level but 3-12 months. Learn from what other people do, whether it’s the questions they ask or how they describe things. Then remember to ask a lot of questions and put in your reading time

Whatever is relevant for your project. Every firm has a guide for most of the issues you deal with in AAS so certain sections are helpful to understand guidance & interpretations

Hi all,
I graduated during Covid with a double major in business administration and business management with a minor in marketing and magically ended up in sales because I needed a job. I’m about to take a data analytics course to make an attempt to break into that field. I’m currently looking for a mentor to help guide me during this time. Also, if anyone is willing to look over my resume and give me tips on how to make it more presentable for recruiters in DA that would be very helpful. Thanks

Hi all - I am looking for some advice and possible future options. I have associate/senior KPMG experience and moved to industry working in investment accounting. I have passed the CPA exam and am looking at getting the CFE. It seems like a lot of forensic/fraud positions are based in IT/programming or other computer based skills. Are there avenues in fraud/forensics that would be open to someone with my experience? If so, are there any skills/certs that I would need to be a desirable hire? TIA!

Hi everyone, I am looking for ideas on how to pivot out of the usual month end close cycle. A remote job ideally. If you were previously in a similar accounting role and switched, I would love to hear about it as well.

My Accounting background is:

3 years GT Audit - manage small team, manage engagements,

2 years Industry Accounting - manage small team, improve monthly processes, month end close, reconciliations, generate financial reports, generate budget and forecasts

Is it possible to transfer to accounting advisory (FAAS CMAAS) as a manager? How’s the learning curve?
