For those who want to or have gone MBB post-mba, what were your longer term plans? Trying to figure out a potential path that makes sense for adcoms. Currently b4 advisory for context.

In my experience- just got thru app season- that will fly if you are a HYP 3.7 with a 760 and sexy WE (PE, FANG, BB IB). Other than that, that will make you sound like you're just bored and want to go party for 2 years.

as I understand it, MBB is like a finishing school for the F500 C-suite

understood but im hoping to use the mba and consulting experiences to find an industry id ultimately end up in but not sure if that is an acceptable story

thanks that's helpful. not applying for another two years so I'm doing some soul searching. I know I want to do MBB (b4 is indeed boring) but what's after that is foggy.

Anyone recruiting back to work candidates ? 5+ years Business analyst looking for a job after 5 years gap..

I’m an early career as a Project Manager (4 yoe). Just got eliminated from my role as an Associate Project Manager. I’m actively looking for work but thinking of spending $ and time to get certification as a PM. Is it worth it? If so, which certificate should I put my money on? I was looking at eCornell PM. I think I want to get a PMP as well.

I am having a hard time finding a permanent remote role. Most companies will show remote on LinkedIn but during conversation will say it’s temporary. The good ones will ask for 3 or more years of experience. Anyone has been through this or can refer me for a remote role? I have 2+ years of audit experience with CPA based in NYC. I am looking for industry roles. Salary expectations 95K and up. But I will keep an open mind given the type of benefits offered.

I came out to my family last year and they swept it under the rug. I feel like I shouldn’t give them access to me until they give me and my partner acknowledgment, even if they don’t agree with it. I have been very sad and hurt. My therapist and others have said that maybe my family doesn’t have the capacity to give that acknowledgment. Makes sense, but why should I condone their homophobia then? What are your thoughts?
