Quick AM or lunch workout, quick shower. Make healthier meals. Sometimes lunch date with boyfriend on Fridays. Take 1-2 walks, listening to a client meeting recording or podcast so it’s a productive walk usually. Play podcasts, tv show or music without headphones while I work. Feel less stressed and in control of my day, check out on time most days. Quick errand if needed. I just left a job where I had no time to even eat lunch with back to back zooms and everyone worked past 6pm.

Wake up, SSS, go into my home office to work and I’m lucky if I can go to my kitchen to make a quick lunch to eat in my office. If I have stuff around the house like laundry or yard work I’ll stop working between 4-5 then do chores and eat dinner and take my dog for a walk. then work a little more.

Play video games, use the rest room, wonder how my floor got so dusty, sweep, trim my nails, sweep nail clippings, look for side jobs online, start prepping dinner around 4:45.

I probably work more now than I did in the office. I start earlier, work through lunch, and work later. The only thing I do besides work is laundry. And even then I have to plan it around when I’m not in meetings. I don’t know who is really doing nothing whilst WFH.

like

Laundry, take the dogs out, make coffee midday, think about working out, maybe an errand.

Peloton, drop the kids off at school, work a few hours, grill lunch, read, pick the kids up, work a few hours, grill dinner, nature walk, TV, check email for a few, read, bed.

At lunch I either walk to my favorite spot 10 minutes away and get an order to go, or nap with my cats. Sometimes when there is not much to do or I’m waiting for feedback, I take a midday shower, do a face mask. Next week I’m planning to wash my cats

like

Aside from making lunch and browsing through social media more often than usual, I take naps.

My son is entering Kindergarten and his (great but hamstrung) public school can only offer 60-85 minutes per day for remote learning, 3 days per MONTH in-school. Just not feasible for a working mom in this industry. So I met some parents, we hired a private teacher, and I’m rolling with a 4-family homeschool pod. I’m keeping my kid in public school, hoping the curriculums can align and not go crazy. Love and strength to all moms and dads and partners out there. It’s tough - but so are we!

Hi. I've not been keeping well physically as well as mentally. I married my best friend and it was all so perfct. Due to Covid and wfh policy at our offices, we came back to his hometown to stay with his parents. I really tried but I never got comfortable with them because of their ideologies and manipulative behaviour. I've come to stay with my parents and in a week's time I'll have to go back. I don't want to. I don't knw why I'm feelin so anxious with the thought of going back..

Not sure how much longer I can stay cooped up in my house. I have no idea how to get motivated again. I am a legit zombie that sits and types for hours and hours without talking to anyone. I feel like a shell of a person. And nobody in management cares about any associates well being in this remote environment. I’m a person who likes to talk about things, but I am well aware that nobody in management would even want to actually do anything to help. Is anyone else feeling the same?

A big surprise challenge in wfh has been my spouse seeing me around the house and expecting me to help out with daily chores and helping with kids then getting frustrated when I’m not able to get up and help. Our whole marriage, when I’ve been home that means I’m not working and can help her out with things, but now that rhythm has changed and it’s hard. Anyone else going through this? Hoping we’re not the only ones 🤞🤞😬

A wonderful friend recommended me to a recruiter, when the recruiter was looking to place a creative. This role is at a small agency, I’m going to be paired with a Sr. Copywriter. They’re looking for a conceptual thinker and brilliant designer, no pressure. I have some internships and some freelance under my belt since graduating portfolio school, and a current laptop that’s running on fumes ha. I’m intimidated, cautious, yet super grateful to finally hear from someone. Any words of wisdom?
