Does anyone here do dropshipping? I want to start and I’m looking for some direction on how to do so. If anyone has experience doing this, I’d appreciate some advice/lessons you learned along the way!
Advice wanted: My firm lied about our raises this year. They said we’d match the other top 10 firms, and that was absolute BS. I’m having a hard time staying motivated. I’m doing senior level work without the title or pay. Fresh college grads are getting paid more than me. I’m already job searching, but I feel bad that I don’t have the same drive as I did before when I thought I would be receiving a proper raise. I learned my lesson. Any advice for a young professional?
Has anyone taken virtual language (Spanish) lessons this year? I'm intermediate advanced (B2) after letting my Spanish get rusty. I need structure to relearn some of the grammar and I need to practice speaking consistently. I'm thinking an hour 2x a week would be a good balance (with homework).
Hot take: resumes don’t need to be perfect—they just have to be “good enough.” 🔗 in comments for the resume I used to get out of consulting to join a start-up, in addition to the resume tips and tricks (and lessons learned) I found to be most helpful.
We just started using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System in our programs to measure quality of interactions and lesson plans. I think it's been one of the most meaningful tools for providing feedback to teachers.
What are the lessons that you have learnt from Strategy Consulting that you may not learn in other management consulting?
You just finished teaching a skill / topic in your lesson. Children are now off to work on that skill independently: who are you targeting first to support, your students in the red or your students in the yellow?
The only positive thing I’m getting from this hell market is a lot of lessons learned (very very painful lessons, entered the market for the first time around late dec/early jan in segments).
Are you finding it easy or challenging to translate your "in person" lessons to an online format?

Flying out of BOS this morning with a friend and were both asked to put our bags in the sizer before security. I have an Alpha 2 and he has a really common Briggs model. Is AA regularly policing bags?
Long distance relationship folks-flights, Ubers / lyfts, etc get so expensive when flying to visit each other (both ways - we're in big cities). I don't want to bring it up and sound cheap, but how do y'all handle this - suck it up and pay because you want to see the other person? Any other efficient ways to go about things? We both earn decent salaries but I don't know if I (or he) comfortable paying 300+ every time for travel every few weeks. Are the options basically moving/breaking up?
Help estimating a non-traditional AD freelance rate? Deets: I’m technically a Jr. AD, but I pivoted to advertising after working in marketing + graphic design for 6 years. I’m nearly finished with portfolio school and my portfolio site was strong enough to land me a great internship where I’ve done client-facing work for big brands. Does this make a difference in what I can charge for hourly work? Or would it be considered junior rates regardless? Thanks in advance for reccs/advice! 🙏🏻
Hi I’m hiring a recruiter role in the US. Looking for someone with experience in a software company and who can be Atlanta or east coast time zone. Can be fully remote. Salary c$60k plus 10% bonus and recruitment fee for each direct and referral placement you make (which could add c$30k+ to earnings) we have a great selection of company benefits. Is this package attractive? There’s great opportunity for career development and the company is growing so lots of new roles. We are international too!

Anyone mind sharing their average monthly electricity (kWh) usage since covid? I’m in southern CA, 2k sq ft house w/pool, 2 adults working from home (no kids). Summer months are around 1,700 kWh; other 9-10 months average around 400 kWh. We replaced HVAC post-summer and hope to see improvement this summer. Thanks in advance.
Came back from mat leave, been aggressively networking to get a client role but no takers for a someone who can’t travel 100%. I’m willing to compromise n travel 50% but nothing! So much for inclusion
The teacher shortage is a national crisis (one that was foretold decades ago). In other industries, when there is an employee shortage for a specific field, the company would increase the salary and benefits for that position because of the law of supply and demand. Why doesn't this work for education? Shouldn't teachers be paid more because we are in short supply? Should certain subjects be paid more?
I know many people do an MBA after 2 years at MBB. Can you do a PhD instead? Does the firm encourage its employees to pursue a PHD? I am currently prepping for interviews, and I am wondering whether I should mention or not that my long term goal is to pursue a PHD and that my experience at MBB will allow me to gain more industry knowledge and identify the biggest problems faced by companies/governments
Hello! I am stuck with a problem and need help. I've been working at a start up agency with good pay and benefits for the past 3 months. The problem is, I recently decided to move to another state for my sanity at the peril of losing this job. Upon hire, my CD informed me that the agency wishes to have mandatory in office visits about 2-3 days a week in the future. Now my q is - should i look for another job, then talk to the CD, or should i speak to them now. FYI I do wish to stay with them!

Anyone have experience using MS Teams chat over Southwest in-flight Wi-Fi? Not planning on being “that person” attending a meeting on a plane, just responding to any MS Teams chats that come my way so I don’t have to take PTO.
