Wait, you mean this bowl isn't a union??
Yes, big 4 especially needs one, and that’s across all service lines
@EY2 - You could argue that, but you'd be wrong. Tangible annually, yes, but repeatable and mechanical, thus closer to commodity work.
Consulting tends to be more customized, hence the more hit or miss outcomes, but also is what drives higher value / higher cost.
The market is better at working these things out than your opinion of what should be. If it were really true that audits were more valuable than consulting, then the costs would reflect that.
Companies decided decades ago to stop paying for people and instead pay off the government to enact laws that enable them to cut costs and maximize equity holder value. Unions are why boomers have pensions and can actually buy homes. You bet I’d join!

It’s 2020, do unions still work?
Nope don’t need crooked bureaucrats lining their pockets and feeding bull crap about sticking up for the little guy. If you aren’t happy with your comp and benefits move on, bargain for yourself
No. That's going to have a lot of unintended consequences. Firms are already political as it is, unnecessary need to add an extra layer to that. Labor unions have also been historically corrupted
Rising Star
Absolutely not. I don't need that extra beaurocracy in my job. Have enough as is.

Lol I would love a union. Would love to slack off even more than I do, and still have job security
