I am obviously calling my derm and the laser place tomorrow, but googling suggested I may have gotten a minor burn. It isn’t an actual scab, just looks like one in terms of color, and the skin is “loose”, as in if I rub my finger along it, the skin moves. I have always been hesitant to get laser because I’ve read horror stories of scarring and would hate that my skin looks worse this way than when it had some hair.
I don't think so...which part of your body did you get it on?
For reference I got it on my bikini line, had 10 sessions and never had any black scabs.
Chest
I got mine done at Satori and they claim on their website there’s a set of pictures of ‘normal reactions’ eg inflamed skin etc. If you check out the place you went maybe they have a resource like that.
The first session is usually the most irritating .. I did scab a little as well. Make sure to take good care of it ... I recommend tea tree oil right after and coconut oil for at least several days after
I did my legs and underarms and never experienced that.
Have done 8 sessions or so. I wouldn't say scabs, but maybe the hair root moves up to the skin and feels a bit like a scab. And nope, no loose skin that you mentioned. Ice packs are greatest saviours right after the treatment. Give it a try next time. Good luck!
I iced once I got home. I’m wondering if that did it because I read some articles online that said you should only ice for a very short period of time after laser treatments but I did the normal20 minutes
