First thing you’re going to want to do is freeze enough bagels to hold you over until the next time you can visit.
Cream cheese is easy to replace - bagels are not

Miriam is alright, but the lines make no sense. Alchemy is 2 blocks away and has better brunch

Barclays Pizza on Washington Ave and Fulton St Brooklyn
Pizza town on 5th ave between Prospect and Park Pl Brooklyn
Crown Heights Pizza on Lincoln pl and Franklin ave, yeah also in Brooklyn. The rolls are awesome.

I went to Per Se for their anniversary / lookback menu before their reno. Wasn’t super impressed unfortunately
Anything Italian. It really doesn’t get much better outside of Italy.
Bagels: Ess A bagel, Zuckers
Pizza: Emily, Rubirosa, Joe’s, Patsy’s, Cassianos
Burgers: Emily, Shake Shack, Peter Luger
Italian: L’Artusi, Via Carota, Pasquale Jones, Lil Frankies, Pecora Bianca
Overall Solo Dining Experience: Union Square Cafe, Upland, Quality Bistro, Grand Central Oyster Bar
4 Charles for the meal and then I’m taking as many bagels from Absolute Bagels or Ess A Bagel that I can carry.
If it pays your double what you make, just fly out to New York some time and enjoy the city

Have to confess I don’t know SF well enough but I would have thought you could get good Chinese food - so much as I love Joe’s Shanghai, you may find another love. Maybe similar for sushi and ramen. What you probably won’t find are good bagels, pizza or proper Italian food.
For me, last meal in NYC would have to be between Convivium Osteria, Piccoli Trattoria or Bar Toto, depending on how much time I have to put it together and whether it’s just the SO and me or we’re having a send-off.
