Forced to start FT out of UG at a firm I don't particularly like. Not a lot of nice benefits or support like other firms and limited scope of work that doesn't interest me. Trying to get out asap.....

Anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do?

Stay until you can find a better opp. In the meantime network in the direction you want to go.

Eh. I started working in 2008 and then did consulting after my first job. The first consulting gig was a shade of my current gig and I even had people at my first gig ask me if what I was doing at my first gig (after they heard where I went to school).

Forced? Like, at gunpoint? Seriously, if you don’t like your job, do what everyone else does - find a better one.

Is the firm in Soviet Russia? No one forced you...
