Former Accenture to Deloitte or Deloitte to Accenture folks. At Deloitte, we’re pretty lenient on what we can get away with expense wise. How does the expense policy at Accenture compare?

They have gone pretty crazy expense audits over trivial things over the last year.

OP, I'd say that matters pretty heavily on your project pricing and your controllers. I've seen some commercial projects run tighter than state ones - I won't staff to that guy's engagements for quality of life reasons!

What about when it comes to second parking or going to an event post work. Can you expense the Uber or parking?

Depends on the project. Per diem is the norm, but on the lower side relative to standard per diem rates. You do get to keep the excess which is nice.... My current project is actuals with no real limit, I try to keep meals under $60-$70 per day (not a HCOL city)

My experience has been that it's been relatively lenient as long as you're reasonable about it. A1, haven't been audited in years (nor have I heard any mention of audits from anyone recently) - might be a you thing. Also dependent on practice, project, etc.

Has anyone moved from a H/MCOL city to a small town or rural area? Any regrets in regards to career progression, networking, or lack thereof? I'm thinking of making the move this winter in order to cut my housing expense by more than half and to put my daughter in better Catholic school. My employer doesn't care where we live so long as we can get to an airport. I grew up in a small town, so it wouldn't be a shock to me, just worried about how it may affect my career trajectory.

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. They want to know if one of their small business owners can expense and collect then consider it a donation. Is this possible? Any advice or loopholes that are Legal and will avoid issues later on?

What is the path to a GC for a senior associate on a TN? I’ve been with my firm since college (2 years) - firm policy is that they initiate the process after a two year tenure (and provided you are senior associate rank, at minimum). Will I be able to pass the PERM evaluation? If not, would things get easier with a subsequent promotion? Or would it be best to lateral to a new firm and start the process there? I have been extremely careful about Covid, to the point where I work from home, don’t go anywhere, and only see my husband and kids. Since March. I feel like it’s making me depressed, but the idea of going anywhere gives me so much anxiety. I feel like I’m slowly going crazy. I also haven’t really done any exercising in about 2 months, and this is probably contributing, but I can’t seem to find the time/will/motivation. Has anyone felt like this and made it through to a better place? Any tips?
