Thank you A1! Given that I’m taking another year, do you think it would be worth working on raising my GMAT score?

Would depend on your MOS and time in service as well. Schools count service time as work experience. Would assume you served at least a couple of years and if that’s the case apply whenever. You will be competitive in any class. The extra year won’t add much value IMO.

It depends. Being a team leader is more leadership experience than most MBA applicants coming in already. Plus Accenture and Ivy League. Don’t listen to anyone who speaks in absolutes and reach out to vets clubs. Also I would argue it’s selection bias for officer vs. enlisted when it comes to MBA applications. Be able to show you have some sort of leadership experience and tell a good story. You’ll be fine

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

All- I have some friends who work at Bain and the more I hear about the place, the more I want to eventually work there. The issue is that my credentials aren’t the best. I guess I wanted to ask the golden question, do I really have a chance at getting into Bain? If so, how should I plan this out?

I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
