Hi all, I am working in capgemini as a fresher and all my joining on boarding got virtually only. Never seen the office at once. Almost 1.7 year got over. Now they are calling me to Bangalore, I have no one and I want initial accommodation for at least 2 weeks other wise it will be very tough for me. They said it is not written in my offer for accomodation so I will not get. But this is unethical if it's not written on offer letter then I won't get. help me to get this accomodation pls Capgemini

One big guy every once in a while isn’t a cause for concern, they’re in the walls, they’ll get lost and find their way into your apartment.
It’s the little guts you need to worry about, they multiply like the plague and will take over in days, and you’ll never get rid of them.
Source: I never got rid of them.
Sidebar - Are there buildings in Manhattan that are not considered luxury? It's like free range chicken. Noone even knows what that means
Probably no doorman / no or few amenity buildings. A lot of older brownstones would fall into this category.

I found 3 ladybugs 🐞 in my apartment yesterday in a prewar building. They are kinda cute. Roaches are just ugly ladybugs.
OP might appreciate your positivity but that’s an offense to our cute ladybugs! Besides, they are believed to bring good luck, evidently showing the surrounding area is eco-friendly.

I found one in my bathroom once (might have been a water bug) and put these in every corner of my studio. 3 or 4 in the bathroom and never saw them again.
Very normal once a year during humid spells no matter how clean your place is. Call exterminator but chances it’ll happen to you once every year or two years
Put it in a ziplock bag and show to you building manager
Don’t leave food out. Best way to keep them away is to compost
Yea but also think about if the trash area has food scraps for even a day it will smell like food scraps and that smell attracts vermin so composting even in OP’s single unit can help OP directly. To be most efficient at avoiding infestation then the whole building should compost. NYC (precovid) was 80% composting!
Friends mom had an infestation on the 47th floor of a Columbus circle area luxury high rise.

You really don’t see water bugs in LI. Spider crickets but not really water bugs
Are you me?!? 33rd floor of luxury building and been dealing with the all too “occasional” water bug for over a year.
It will not end- exterminator is not helpful with these things. They need to get into your shower / sink drain / plumbing and do a thorough work up.
Happened to me. 30fl luxury building. Tell management. More likely than not they have an exterminator that comes weekly to do the entrances
You need to leave NYC if you're not willing to wake up with bugs. Source: Lived here almost 50 years, family lived here 250+
