Found out both of my experienced hire staff 2a make only 2k less than me as a senior 1 . I manage both of them on this engagement. Them @74k, me @76. Can I use this as support for me being underpaid/ asking for more money 👀

No. You can jump and find a new job like any normal person would when they’re underpaid

76K as a Senior? Oh my god....

like

Lol I was getting $75K as a Senior with 8 years of consulting experience. I had to jump for 6 figures.

like

Because that’s not how this business works. If you want more money you need to leave, leaving a team you “like” is the sacrifice. You’re welcome to stay with your team but you’ll continue to be under paid. That’s the game, sorry. I left PwC at 80K with 2YOE for D at 125K. I make more than many Seniors that manage me, it’s not fair but it’s the business.

P1 hot market back in late 2018 I guess.

Jump. Looking at the numbers I am assuming that your firm can’t afford to pay more?

Another question : When did associates start getting paid so much. Did I miss something. I thought associate salary was 60k lol

like

I made 60k as a new hire at PwC back in 2015

When I was a Canadian Consultant working in the US, the American Analysts I was supervising earned more in USD than I did in CAD. Add on the exchange rate which was around 1.3 at the time... Luckily I was eligible for OT, and I made sure to milk every single hour to make up for it.

I actually like this firm and my team. Why wouldn’t the consider paying me more If I bring this up vs starting with someone fresh or do I really have to leave to get more money 👀

I can tell data Analytics 1 has very few friends in life./ does not value quality of life/ good firm culture much. There’s value in a team that you can go to work everyday and be happy at work with.

Confused cause I made significantly more than that as an analyst fresh out of college

I did this at my company and it worked. Shoot your shot. The worst they can do is say no.

Just wanted to know what you’ve went through ie, if there are other requirement needed when you cancel and then use the MRV fee.
