Were you causing delays?

OP, I feel for you, and proud of you for your willingness to confront the issue instead of speculate and make assumptions about the situation. Let us know where you become a leader at, and you’ll have a line of people waiting to work for you. I hope you enjoy your weekend!

You are learning some valuable lessons. You will have to confront this head on: hey so and so, can we chat? I got feedback from my manager about being late on the project. Can you tell me more? And listen as hard as you ever have. You can say your piece to explain yourself but remember that this kind of person you are dealing with isn’t capable of empathy so you will be wasting your time unless it just makes you feel better to do it. Then demand they come directly to you in the future because this kind of communication is not effective for you.

Ad agency designer desperately looking for an out but I have a possible new job opportunity. Here is my dilemma: Pros.... more money, no crazy client demands, pitches or decks or even prospective clients that will go nowhere (in-house), better benefits Cons.... this is a big one - it’s healthcare I’ve been at agencies with a range of clients for the past few years. Career suicide taking an in-house healthcare job? Especially if role focuses more on growth & performance over design?

I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.
