I am classified as an agent selling health insurance but there’s a private email I recently gained access to showing the company is using my broker license and I suspected that since I’m the agent of record on a lot of business. They pay for everything including leads but I’m working as an agent in one email whereas there’s another showing I’m using my license as a broker. I get $43,000 salary plus commissions so averaging $80 K a year. Any advice?

This job’s demanding things from me I can’t even achieve in my (much simpler) personal life - like getting organized, planning head, keeping time, multitasking. I’m smart (I think?) but slow and it’s very hard to focus, stay motivated, and see tasks through. At what point do I walk away? In reality every role that pays well is going to demand these skills to varying degrees and I’m all but convinced I’ll never have them - after all I’ve been trying since childhood. What to do? 😢

I have received two offers for Summer Internships. West Monroe Partners Software Engineer and Deloitte Software Engineer. I'm not sure which one will be better for my career. Will Deloitte allow better future opportunities because of its brand name? Or, will the fact that WMP is a technology-focused consulting firm look better for getting future SWE jobs?

How do you transition from big 4 consulting to big law? My clients are all funds, and I do international tax consulting. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!

I try and find new creative stuff everyday on ad age creativity, Behance etc and am craving some tech equivalents. What are your go to resources for news on innovations in the tech space? Neural net, AR/VR, blockchain etc.

As a junior, a lot of peers from my generation immediately got internships at top agencies, while I had to start at a very small and un-creative agency.

At the time, it felt very frustrating, like I was running behind. But in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I got a lot of responsibility very fast and I could develop my skills gradually, without being burned. I’m sure this first job helped me enormously later on in my career.

Got an offer from company A, more interested in another company, but last chat about 6weeks ago with CCO of company B said they weren’t hiring right away but they wanted to reach out to people so when hiring freeze ended they could hiring immediately. Is it okay to email them about offer from company A, and see if I can get a timeline on their hiring and gauge their interest? Do I contact the CCO or their recruiter? Best practices to go about this
