Fresh transfer failed. My husband and I have decided we are done. The universe doesn’t want me to be a mother. I’ve finally accepted it and moved on. I just wish somebody had told me this would be my future as a little girl.

I’m three weeks into maternity leave and feeling guilty for hating it. I have a precious little human, but I wish I could go back to work and exercise and a life that doesn’t revolve around lactation. I was expecting evolution to kick in with a wave of motherly devotion that... hasn’t arrived yet. Did anyone else feel this way? Does it get better?

Hi.., I know I am asking off topic question and suggestion here..but appreciate if u guys gave ur opinions...Recently my wife passed away left with 2 kids of 7 yrs and 1 month baby...I really broke down due to this ..now I am not able to concentrate and gave my 100% to workplace .I am thinking to take a 1-2 months break (WLP) to recollect myself and take care of my kids. Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. Lucky (I guess) enough to inherit ~$6M from my mother who just passed. We lived rather frugally and had no idea she had built up this kind of wealth so I'm pretty amazed. Father passed already so I am 100% taker. The mix is ~350k house, ~$100k condo, ~$1M in a stable value fund, ~1.5M in 401(k), ~1.5 in Roth IRA, remaining ~1.5 is in taxable brokerage and modest amount in her HSA. I live in a different state so I don't mind selling the properties. I have no clue how to think about this...

22 years old here. Feel nothing but absolute dread when I’m reminded of the state of the world, our bleak environmental future, and the inevitable fractures in community and culture bound to grow even stronger in the next few years. Makes me wonder if I should have kids or not, and what the point of all this living is. Sucks even more because gen z played little to no part in making the world like this, yet my generation will pay the price.

Started seeing someone and while we both are well educated and have good jobs, it’s clear that there’s a big difference in our families’ economic class. I come from top 1% and my parents will be setting up a trust fund, have designer bags/clothes, am well traveled—whereas he comes from blue collar background, wears simple clothes, has not been outside the US, etc. Has anyone been in a similar situation where it presented problems?

I see a lot of people post about long term relationships. My wife and I are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary today. We've been poor, house poor, poor again, middle class, upper middle class and now well to do.
