Most will spend there 20s and most of their 30s ( even more) waiting for GC. If you’re stressed out about it all the time and are not happy, then you know the answer. Better life is not just about nice roads and making money if you’re not going to be happy. If you are ok with all this, accept the wait and are hopeful about eventually getting it and you like your job, gaining new skills and this experience , then wait it out. I know both types. In short, if you’re going to be miserable during your 20s and 30s, you’re doing it wrong
Current negative factors - 15 year long wait times for GC, a hostile administration, stress/uncertainty in life. I understand that everyone’s situation is different. But a lot of us are facing the same uncertainty. What plan of action (or reality) would you recommend to people stuck in H1B on extremely long wait times?
Canadian PR. I have a friend who applied in 2011 and is now a citizen. he come and works in the US freely. Obviously, there are some compromises but still a better option than the endless wait.
And does Deloitte file under EB3? if so that's sad
Don’t worry too much! Pack your bags, pick a different country and experience the culture out there You can always come back! Especially when you work in consulting for a large company with offices worldwide !! Life is worth living and not worrying about! And yeah, don’t forget to have those pegs SC1 talked about
Personal experience - Moved to Canada last year. Bought a house, had a baby, wife got 1 year maternity leave. Life is more settled now.
