Can anyone recommend any firms in London who are hiring grads currently? I had signed up (contract n everything) with Accenture but was recently told that “we are completely full for 2022 and 2023” and I am happy to move somewhere else completely, instead of waiting 1.5+ years. My bio: Robotics engineer (BS) with a business Masters, and also a self-taught Data Analyst. Please help!

I don’t want overworked, stressed, frustrated, unappreciated and mistreated colleagues around me with firearms at arms reach.
I wish this was allowed. Everyone I know, myself included, that has a CCW recognizes the magnitude of carrying a weapon and would make me feel safer
KPMG1, I’m advocating for folks carrying. I read into his statement and was taking it to mean harmless people doing your taxes. I carry to take down threats (regardless of the status of their cpa licensure).
As awful as Breitbart is as a credible source: I do believe this article is factual rather than opinionated. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/06/11/lawyer-gun-free-policy-kept-virginia-beach-victim-unarmed-day-attack/amp/
Agreed. I only see two options to “neutralize” an active shooter: 1. Wait for someone else with gun actually act on it; 2. Use your gun. Any 3rd option available?
If there is an overworked, stressed, frustrated, under appreciated and mistreated colleague with a short fuse who decides to do something horrific....
I pray there is another coworker with a concealed weapon to save my life.
Or get rid of guns and turn it into fight club
3 years ago a client skipped her appointment. The next day her husband (going through divorce) murdered 4 people in 3 separate locations, all within a 1/2 mile of my office. One was her attorney. Her financial advisor was luckily out of the office. I'm glad the tax guy wasn't on the radar as important. Office protection just was not on the radar that day.
We encourage firearms in the workplace.
I worked at a small accounting firm in Atlanta that had a client come in ready to go with his gun and all. Over a tax return folks! From that point on everyone carried. #wedontplayinthesouth
I have not seen a public accounting firm allow this. I presume there are instances at smaller firms where this is permitted, however, especially in rural areas.
I have some friends in advisory who work exclusively for private clients. They were telling me about a large manufacturing firm that put out an RFP a few years ago. The first meeting with management ever was boar hunting. The client supplied the guns and the dogs. They won the engagement, mostly because there was only one other B4 that was willing to publish a proposal. Still sounded like an awesome experience nonetheless
We're not allowed to carry in our offices...
Just picked up the new PPQ subcompact. Hope I never have to use it outside the range
I’m with PwC1, why would I want overworked and stressed colleagues carry firearms? That’s asking for trouble when everyone is on short fuse!
But remember OP, we’re not all the same. Most of us may be stable, logical and able to process our stress but some ppl can’t. I saw someone (rightfully) guided out of the firm last year (I believe) due to random, concerning outbursts and I was extremely relieved. I witnessed the person (staff) lose it in front of a group of partners. They handled it well in the moment but next thing I knew, the person was employed elsewhere per LinkedIn
I feel like the law firm accepts cases that puts their people in a position where they need a firearm.
