Not sure about sun life but generally insurance is just like the banks but 5-10 years behind in everything. Expect to see bureaucratic, siloed, slow organizations and less innovation.

Yeah, M2 that’s the attractive part. To be honest, I’m on the older side now, so my priorities have shifted compared to where I was 10 years ago when I started in consulting.
More money, bigger title, better benefits, WLB... yeah. Maybe I’ll become one of those lifers? 😂🤣
Plenty of ex-consultants (myself included) working at Sun, in both strategy and business functions. Was pleasantly surprised that many of the most strategic issues were addressed in house with only some bit parts outsourced to top tier firms. Sure, things move a bit slower than consulting but ain’t that the point?
