From reading other bowls, it sounds like compensation at Sanofi is notoriously below market (which is odd because they are a F 500 company). Does anyone have experience interviewing with them and know whether they are willing to negotiate comp at all? I am deciding whether or not to move forward in the interview process because I don’t want to waste my time and their time.

Just do the initial screener with the recruiter and ask about comp. It’s only 10 mins of your time

like

I did, she gave me a range. When I looked into it after the call, the comp seems below market. I now have a second interview and I’m worried about asking if they are willing to negotiate outside that range at all.

Hi everbody, I have been offered Senior analyst (Level 10) position at Accenture. They are offering me 9.18 fixed. Also I have 2.4 YOE. its really weird that they offered level 10 role since its normally given to 4-5 YOE.Since I got Level 10 this early, is it a mistake from HRs end ? or is it possible that they really want me to join as level 10 ? Also, is 9.18 fixed + 21% variable at Accenture low ? considering I am having 2.4 YOE ans tech stack - Java Springboot PLSQL, and level 10 at

I started a new job a month ago and I hate it! I hate the culture (there is no culture) the way that they communicate (no meetings everything in slack) and the way that they work (alone) It feels pretty much like I am freelancing and I thrive in collaborative environment. I have never felt this isolated in my whole life. It sucks.
Has anyone been in that situation? If I look for another job, should I remove that experience from my linked in? Or should I talk about that if I get interviews?

I have an early interview soon for a senior strategist role at an NYC agency. It’s still very preliminary, but I’d like to have a reasonable salary range ready just in case it comes up. From Googling, I’ve seen everything from ~$77k to ~$135k. With my ~6 years of experience, what would be a fair starting range for me to suggest?

My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? I don’t want to seem disingenuous or that we are singling out our diverse employees (asking for photos). We have a remote and on-site workforce about 350+ EEs. Non white EEs make up about 35% of the company rn.

Dear Fishes,
Total experience of 5 years. I started working with Accenture from last six months. However I applied an IJP transfer into a different deal in same level my package is 4.65 lpa and the team in which I am moving, the minimum budget for an associate is 9lpa. Am I eligible for hike? Can I ask for hike? If yes, then how much descent hike I can ask for. If no, then I will be not eligible for my next hike as I am changing the team, till 1 year there will be no changes in my package.

Hi Fishies!
I am in the process of negotiating an offer with a new company and I asked for a higher base but they came in saying i would be “at parity” with my peers. They did try to adjust the bonus so TC would be close to what I am looking for. However, the signon bonus is a bit lower than what I was hoping. How do you negotiate that and what do I say? Truth is, I am still a bit on the fence about the move. I really like my boss and my team and we have so many amazing (TBC below)

Additional Posts in In-House Counsel

Do your “years of experience” reset when you go in-house?

I am currently at a firm and received an in-house offer. Aside from main items like comp and big ticket benefits like PTO/health insurance/401k, what other items do I need to think about discussing/negotiating? For example, fees to keep bar licensure, professional association fees, CLEs, etc. I feel like there is so much on that end I currently take for granted being covered at my firm. Anything else I should consider?

I am in the final stages of interviewing at a company in a mid-size regional city in the southeast. I just found out they want to keep salary near $110k. I have 10 YOE and told them I’m targeting roles closer to $150k. I don’t know the full offering of benefits but assume it is bad (I know they have no current 401(k) match or paid parental leave, e.g.). Is there any way to negotiate this up or should I give up? $110 seems extremely lowball to me. That’s what first-years at big firms make here.

Here are some thoughts on metrics: compensation, culture, retention, promotion frequency, outside counsel use
