From what age do you start letting your baby on jumperoos/exersaucers? Our 4mo girl is now wanting to sit up straight but not sure if it’s too early!

My girl got into her jumparoo around four months. The seat was too wide so I stuffed a blanket behind her so she was held up snugly. Her legs were too short even on the lowest setting so I put a book under her feet.
She loved it!
Having decent head control is a must before starting. Dong leave your baby in for more than 10 min at first.

Same here. I was thinking about buying an activity center

Skip hop one is great

We did it as soon as we felt she could control her head because she loved to stand. Our youngest is still growing into it at about four months, but our first loved it right away (about five months). He’d bounce away the whole time between naps sometimes!

We started at 4 months for both our kids. Our youngest was slightly wobbly inside it at first, so we added a small pillow behind her back and under her feet to give her more support. Now at 5 months she’s stronger and taller so we’ve removed the pillows. She LOVES it.

We started back in August in distance learning mode, core subjects only. So no STEM classes. One of our 8th grade teachers was out on maternity leave, so I was asked to take that spot for the first semester. I was a long time 5th grade teacher, so not a difficult adjustment, except for learning new to me digital curriculum.

I have 2 STEM classes for the second quarter. Still online, so my focus is on coding.

Wondering what other STEM teachers are doing online?

Hi I am looking to get pregnant. Previously I had a miscarriage and it's been close to 6 mos now. I don't know if it's psychological or physical but just feels like it's harder to conceive. I am also looking to get promoted in a year or two but I also don't want to delay having kids any longer as I am getting near to mid 30s. Sometimes I wonder if I need to do something less busy and stressful in order to have a family. I do like consulting. Anyone experienced sth similar or got any advice?

My SIL and I are pregnant with our firsts snd due within 2 months of each other. I’m worried about the dynamics over the next few years, so hoping I could get some advice!! I am by no means lavish, but I want to decorate for a nursery, get them some fun toys, cute clothes, etc but not anything over the top. My SIL is taking it to the extreme (in my opinion) and doesn’t want to even change the paint color so ‘keep it simple’ or really buy anything from what I can tell. Cont..

General CTC question here. If a qualifying relative does not live with a taxpayer claiming the child as a dependent for over half the year, can the CTC be claimed if the taxpayer is a legal guardian? Backstory: the dependent’s mother only has SSA income and does not claim the child for CTC and the child meets the rules as a qualifying relative. Legal guardian in this case is the Aunt. My thoughts are since the child did not live with TP (aunt), CTC is out and they can only claim ODC

Secondly, in the recruiting brochure maternity leave is separate from parental leave. Can you take both of you are the primary caretake for a total of 4 months?

I am on the fence as to whether to fire my nanny. I met her through a fb moms group rec in my nassau county town. I feel like my mother prefers another family member (not her child, but same age and gender as me) more than she does me. I was very excited for a recent milestone event in my life and so was the other family member, whose event my mom is definitely more interested in. Idk why I even bother, maybe I should just come to terms with the fact that my mom doesn't care as much and move on with my life without needing her validation

I know for a fact aura is little outdated now but still it’s gonna be here for a while atleast few years and there are many projects based on aura too.

I’ve been told by a close person that I tie my self-worth to my career/career goals. And because of this, I subconsciously value my friends and acquaintances more or less based on how successful they are in their career. Not that I outwardly treat anyone rudely or poorly, but that I’m more inclined to listen and take advice from friends who are more driven and have successful careers, for example. Can anyone relate/is this a normal issue/any advice for me?
