Frustrated and hopeless at this point. I've been applying to jobs that would be a good fit for the better part of this year, but either get dismissed before the interview process if I don't have experience with their HRIS or get an interview and then dismissed. In the interviews they tell me I did really well. I've worked at the same company for 7 years and all in HR. I'm just looking for more growth and preferably outside of recruitment. Is it just me or something I'm doing wrong?

Hmmm. Have you had your resume optimized to align better with the types of jobs you're applying for? I'd start there. Also, you mentioned being told you did well "in the interviews" but what about after you've been rejected? Are you asking for specific feedback from the people you're interviewing with? I'd outright ask if there's anything they can share or advice as to what areas you could improve on. Sometimes you have to be direct and specific. Once you have that insight, you can work on those areas and hopefully have a better outcome in the future. Best of luck to you!

Yes, I've updated my resume with each application and written a cover letter every time. The last place I interviewed was Amazon and I got the typical response and that they would not provide feedback. I've also had an HR colleague look over my resume and give feedback.

Where are you located? We have two hybrid HRBP positions open

Manhattan, KS

In a similar position. Good luck!

Hi! How about getting a certification? I think that would help in terms of the required experience for the role you are applying for.

What HRIS are they mentioning? Might want to look into some trainings or something to help pad that part out

Hi everyone! I’d love to hear your thoughts on EEO surveys during the job application process. Is it more beneficial to self-disclose or refrain from disclosing race, gender, disability, etc?

Which method is more likely to get your application noticed? Any guidance would be helpful on my job hunt. Thank you.

I am currently a year from finishing my PhD and was looking at VC's as a career path because I like to do meta-analysis of different climate change techs. I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

Is a white paper with a VC going to be attractive on my CV?

I am not behind this decision & have voiced my multitude of concerns in promoting an employee who doesn't deserve it. HR is behind the decision! Thoughts on promoting an undeserving report?

I am a HR Generalist, I was called into my managers office and she informed me I was getting a verbal write up because she claimed I never told her that a supervisor was secretly changing peoples pay rates.
