When you say nanny services, do you mean an agency to help you find one? The agency can then help guide you on what is common among those hiring now. If so: Olive.You.Nanny and Date Night Boutique
We don’t offer lunch, but our car is the one available for the nanny to use for the kids (no switching the car seats back and forth or her having to have them in all the time), and we gave her a family credit card in her name for kid incidentals while out, so she doesn’t have to front the money and get reimbursed.

We used an agency for our first nanny in Chicago… can’t remember what it was called. Later we used care.com and that was way cheaper and honestly the candidates were as good as long as you did your due diligence.
For a full time nanny you should offer standard holidays, two weeks vacation (typically, you get to choose one of the weeks and she gets to choose one of the weeks), and five paid sick days. If you want to be nice you could offer some stipends around public transit or stock groceries for her to make herself lunch but you don’t have to offer those things. We always told our nanny she was welcome to any food in our house. If she stayed late or the weather was really bad we’d typically offer to reimburse her Uber.
Rising Star
Good tips above. I used two agencies (about seven years ago). They sent very different types of nanny, which was interesting.
NorthShore nannies sent more young nannies with early childhood education orientation.
Nanny boutique sent more experienced/career nannies.
I found my nanny through the latter. She’s been with us 7 years. I interviewed at least 12 nannies to find the best fit. Then, it’s been a matter of treating her very professionally just as any other “team member”.
If you are interested in doing the search yourself, check out Adina’s Nanny Network I’m Chicagoland on Facebook. This worked well for us and many friends! We didn’t have as much luck with Care.com with candidates
