Anyone have any experience working with PWC DDV?
its my first day at my new job !! woohoo
Hi guys,
I am currently on notice period and my LWD is Sep 2, 2022. Today, I got an offer from state street mentioning my joining date as Sep 12, 2022 even though I already told HR that I would like to join from Sep 5 itself. How can I convince HR to prepone my joining date to Sep 5, 2022. I don't want to lose my one week salary guys. Pls suggest. State Street

Yes agreed with TM, drowsy but awake is actually probably the opposite of what babies want. Either it’s fully awake in the crib and helping them sooth to sleep or it’s deep sleep in the arms and then transfer

My baby is 6 months now. Also FTM. Was in the same situation not long ago. I started with naps during the day. I’d look out for cues and knew when she was sleepy and I’d put her in her crib (and not bassinet. She’d cry for a bit but eventually she’d sleep. By 4 months she was too big for bassinet so we moved her to her room and did the feber method. It took 5 days and her longest cry was 15min. I’d say start work naps. It takes time getting used to but she needs to learn to sleep on her own.
I think drowsy but awake is mostly a joke. It worked for my son maybe once. I did Taking Cara Babies around six months. He goes to sleep on his own easily in his crib now. He’s 11 months. Still struggling with early morning wakes, but I didn’t fully follow the Taking Cara Babies advice so that might be why.

I follow TCB until 4 months and then I do the peaceful sleeper method. It’s sleep training with check ins but works like a charm! In a few nights my kids start sleeping through the night (or mostly). At 3 months, sleep gets crappy. Do you best to make it through and sleep train at 4 months.
Follow peaceful sleeper on instagram! I find her extremely helpful.
Have a 2 month old (second time mom), I look for sleepy cues (a yawn, red eye brows), once I see that, I just swaddle him and put him alone in the room and close the door. He doesn’t cry, just fusses and grunts for a few minutes then knocks out. This is assuming he’s already been fed. If sleep cues but hasn’t been fed yet, I feed, maybe change a diaper, hold him up for a bit to make sure he burps them swaddle and put him down. Seems to work for me at least for now 😅
Take a look at Hey Sleepy Baby on Instagram. She has a realistic approach and her guides to making sleep changes really helped us think through the options.

What does FTM mean?
First time mom
FTM and 3 month year old here too! We used to rock her to sleep. Over the last week, we've been working on getting her to fall asleep independently. It's 50/50! Two days ago she seemed to be putting herself to sleep independently. Today she would not let me put her down. Taking Cara says watch wake windows 75-100 minutes now and work on putting them down and using SITBACK. I put her down, hand on chest, rocked a bit then left. Next day, I put her down and left the room. She was awake for 5-7 minutes then she went to sleep. I'm doing my best not to rock her if she is not crying. Essentially the five month bundle says at this point you are working on trying to intervene the least amount as possible. Each day you intervene less. For example, if you are rocking her to sleep today - tomorrow you rock her and put her down drowsy. Next day you don't rock, settle and put them down. However if it's not working you can go back to what works for you and try again another day. I usually will try again at the next nap.
