Been interviewing. Did four rounds and on Thursday before the final round recruiter asked salary expectations. Recruiter said my base ask was $20k above max. I said I’m flexible with base/bonus mix to hit my base ask number in total. Recruiter said “that’s doable”. Final round was Friday with C-level. Emailed “thank you” notes yesterday AM and haven’t heard anything—not even an acknowledgement. Bad sign or am I overthinking?

Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. Am I pushing my luck to ask?
