If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

^ I love how you agree EY1, when you don't even know what stereotypes the OP is talking about 😂
Lazy, entitled, need hand holding, can't do anything without recognition. Shit, it's like have if a second job just trying to get them to work
There are tons of negative stereotypes about millennialis, RSM 1. All of these stereotypes are manifesting in the recent start classes and it's so frustrating.
My problem is I honestly don't know how I can help unless some tells me what to do... #hopeless
At least millennials won't leave you voicemails then email you to tell you that he/she left you a voicemail then ignore you when you ping ... fucking techno retards who love playing phone tags!
I'm glad I read this. Now maybe I won't act like my stereotype in front of my coworkers
😂😂 @Auditor1
I understand there are stereotypes about millennials, and I'm not denying there is some truth to them. But as far as I can tell, none of the people I started with fit any of them. They are hardworking, conscientious, and don't expect any special treatment.
Millennials can be tough to deal with at times as they are different than the previous generation. Bottom line they are our bodies for work right now and our future down the line. We must learn how to deal with them. I know that RSM partners had an all day presentation at their Las Vegas annual meeting about millennials. Buy a book and learn how to adopt. I'm learning myself although it's very annoying.
In the past people would join a CPA firm and would have long term goals to become a partner. Now staff their jobs as a temporary assignment. There's no commitment to anything. A millennial won't have a problem with giving a notice in March. Their communication is very different. A millennial intern could for example instant message a partner or a Sr manager not understanding that it's not appropriate to communicate this way.
Staff views their jobs*
This was my personal opinion and no one at RSM tells staff millennials not to IM their partners.
I agree. But what stereotypes?
Safe spaces anti-free speech
EY1 - everyone knows there are stereotypes. I just think it's hilarious you agreed without knowing what you agreed to.
Shut up the fuck up Old man/ woman !
How much different is it? I've only heard generalities. Give me some specifics.
huh WHY is it inappropriate to instant message a partner or a sr manager?! My partners text my cell and and ping me all the time. People should get off their high horses, it's about efficiency! RSM sounds like a horrible place to work all of the sudden ...
No, I appreciate you sharing your opinion/perspectives! I used to have this supervisor (at prior employment) that would phone me and tell me go to her office, so I can rotate PDF pages for her, and re-perform all of my work in her office before she signs off. You know, the kind that will ask you to close the office door on your way out? I wanted badly to strangle her, so I quit.
