Just let go from a 40 hour per week consulting position where I learned they were paying other consultants 3-4x more per hour. They still really like my work, trust me, and want to work with me on an as-needed basis. I want to charge them an hourly rate similar to all the other consultants. Thoughts? Is this a reasonable course of action? And if so, how would I go about this to get the compensation I want?

Currently working in NYC at KPMG financial due diligence with 4.5 total years of experience. Getting promoted to manager in 2-3 months with 130k target base salary and 12k annual bonus. Got an offer in Bay Area California for a senior financial analyst for global strategy and M&A at fortune 150 firm with 140k base, $15k sign on, 10% annual bonus, relocation, and great benefits. Thinking of leaving promotion on table, long term goal is FAANG or tech. Is this a fair offer?

I feel like in our school they are asking more and more of aides and other staff with no certification (beyond HS diploma). Don't get me wrong I don't mind helping out but we are the lowest paid position in the district, why are we asked to fill in for everyone else with no compensation?
