Funded my account with more than $25k. Had a day trade today and now account says I have 2 left. Using TD. Why is it counting my day trades if I’m not subject to PDT?

Uhm - how do you think they identify as a pattern day trader? Hint: it’s based on the number of day trades that you do.

You might have a margin account and that’s why it’s showing PDT count. If you trade on cash and have more than the required minimum in cash, you can ignore this, I asked customer service this same question last week - they are super friendly and helpful!

When did you fund the account? IIRC, need $ to clear before eligible. It’s been awhile for me though so ymmv

Stay on a project leaning absolutely nothing but get promoted because it’s a high profile client or ask to roll off the client and actually learn something but give up your chances on a promotion? Which is better?

I just saw a job posting for a creative director role that listed sweeping, mopping the floors, dusting, vacuuming and polishing the studio furniture as responsibilities. I kid you not.

Should I reach out to the recruiter for the final offer? I got an email from recruiter last week saying they would like to initiate the offer process and asked my salary expectation. I replied with my answers but haven’t heard back since then. Should I reach out? Or that might impact my negotiating position for pay.

Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?

Time for a change, so what happens next? 4 years consulting. (commercial & federal), clearance, current salary low $60k. Not sure if it’s time to change firms or get out of consulting altogether?

Partner who assigned me more work after I told him I was slammed came into my office today and asked if I did anything fun over the weekend. I pointed to the two stacks of papers on my desk and told him I was reviewing motions and preparing the responses I sent him yesterday. He said “come on, don’t tell me that.” Why ask the question if you don’t want the answer, I’m not going to lie and say I had plans when he can see I billed 17 hours over the weekend.

I’ve often heard of people with mental health issues struggling with personal hygiene. Has anyone done the opposite of that? I shower up to 2 hours a day (2-4 showers), and am obsessive with oral hygiene. Kind of like washing away my feelings of guilt....

Any 🐠 with SOs in med school/residency? Feeling a lot more pressure now to not get laid off 😔. I’m happy to help support them in their journey to a meaningful career and know things are probably going to be fine in the long run (we’re pretty frugal). However, with the economy as it is and the sheer amount of student debt, just feels like a long road ahead and no idea how long it will take to ever pay off

Renters/homeowners/earthquake insurance ?: I’m reviewing my renewal policy docs for my renters and earthquake policies (im in Los Angeles). I’m 32F 🐠 single no kids. I own enough stuff to fill a 2 bedroom apartment if one room were an office/misc storage stuff. Currently am in a 4bd/4bath town house with 2 roommates. I’ve had these policies for 10+ years but truthfully haven’t read or paid much attention to limits or terms in the past (I also didn’t own much for most of that time).

Signed a 40 hr work week gig, but it’s looking to not be the case. Any way to renegotiate OT?? If so, how? Thanks I’m advance!
