I have Spanish speaking clients while my team is English speaking. We want to have real-time English subtitles of the translation during meeting and are trying find a meeting technology (like Teams, Webex, etc) with the feature built-in and/or add-on tech that we can use. Do any of you have recommendations or experience with this? Zoom isn’t an option and we have a human translator who summarizes so we miss the detail.
Are your kids actually learning stuff on Zoom? How are schools doing exams? I can barely pay attention to a Netflix movie
Can I join a Zoom depo midstream?
How has audit deliveries changed for your firm over the last 3 years? Zoom vs in person? Do you list the audit fee and mileage/incidentals separately on the engagement letter?
Google slides or keynote. Slack or gchat?
One of my coworkers started complaining that I didn't wear a mask on a Zoom call, because I might "infect the people coming into my house". That so-called person is my house cleaner, and we're both triple vaccinated and are fine not wearing masks. Should I tell my coworker to mind their own business?
Ladies, how do I handle this? I’m on a team with two other women, one of whom is a mom. She leaves early pick up her kids. My coworker and I work late to pick up the slack. It doesn’t feel fair
Salesforce (CRM) had a solid earnings report and yet sold off. I think the slack acquisition, while maybe a little expensive, is going to be a huge win. What am I not seeing here? Why isn’t this ticker on the rise?
Accepted two jobs and they both have training around the exact same time, on zoom. Even if I push back one job another week, the training times still conflict. I accepted two jobs based upon the income that I need and nothing else being out there. Any suggestions?
I dont feel the "hunger" that every advisor should have. If I do 100-200k in business in a single day I then start to relax, slack off, etc. What do I do to build that hunger in me?
Salesforce has an "exempt" and "non-exempt" employment status. Non-exempt means the role is "hourly" and therefore eligible for overtime. What are the disadvantages/risks to this type of contract? I'm a Customer Success Manager with Slack, and had a standard employment contract prior. Thanks!
Ladies - Teeth whitening - Enlighten or Zoom? (Low tolerance to pain, prioritising on comfort and safety) how painful are both on a scale of 1-10? Would love some advice!
CBS acceptees: How did you guys access slack for admitted students? I have an email but not sure
How to get the attention of my boss for a promotion when he's working from a different state and I'm in NYC? All communications are through skype, phone etc.
I think I smile and nod too much. How do I stop? I don’t want to smile all the time but it’s like I’ve been conditioned over time. It honestly is draining. Especially on zoom I can see myself and in my head I’m like wow I am a wreck smiling and nodding vigorously at the most inane things.
Which one of these would you choose given the opportunity (ignoring TC)? Strategy & Bizops at a more well known tech firm (think square, slack, doordash, instacart, twilio, etc.) Data science at a mid size tech, b2b firm that is lesser known (think okta, Hubspot, crowdstrike) Data analyst/Engineer at a large tech firm (salesforce, stripe, uber)
ACN 🐟 are any of your ACN sites working? Just realized my email has been down for an hour... I can't get on the portal or email web service either but skype is working?

They credited my whole 3 night stay, but I went back and asked for points too. I feel like one company crediting another company isn't really making up for the fact that I may never sleep again
Interviewing with AWS as a L7 - however the automatic email said Senior Solution Architect (L6) when the Recruiter asked me to interview for Principal Solution Architect (L7) - Managerial. I've been taken for rides before where they over promise and then waste time throughout assessment etc. Passed all the aptitude tests and silly work and email tests pretty much just asking if anyone else have experienced this with AWS - is it a valid concern? Or am I being paranoid?
I know that Deloitte will pay for your 2nd year of MBA after you intern if you get a return offer, but do any other firms do that? Specifically does Accenture?
It took me 2 hours from Chelsea to LGA today door to door. Terminal B has no TSA pre lane at 7pm #wtfnyc #wtflga
Got laid off a week ago and have been slow to get back on the hunt. I feel so demoralized and depressed. This is the worst season to be unemployed. I can’t seem to get a fire in myself again
Have you ever requested access to your data after you interviewed for a new role and was turned down for a job? What was your experience and do you recommend it?
Has anyone’s mom or MIL moved in with them to help care for a baby? Would love to hear perspectives. Overwhelmed by consulting and unsure if husband and I will be able to manage 2 consulting careers with no help.
Just got engaged 😊😊. Need some advice. We both have two homes already. 1. Is it always better to get a third home ? 2. If yes, is better to rent out or sell the other two homes? Both homes mortgages are $1250 & $1450 and 1500 sqft & 2200 sqft respectively. Both homes are 3 bedrooms. 3. If we are getting a third home what price range is recommended? We are based in Houston and HHI is going to be $380,000(including bonus & rsu) & $300,000 base. We are 27F & 30 M and no kids yet.
A student walked into my classroom with this today, and I can't tell you how badly I needed it. 🥰
Does anyone work in EY's People Advisory Services? How do you like it? Any tips for a phone interview with a recruiter?
Hi All, May I know the designations hierarchy in BA continuum?? especially for band 6 (levels before AVP & VP).. Is work from home available before Covid or any plan in future may be?? And if no bonus what will be the average hike percentage every year.. Thanks
Tomorrow will be my first day at Boston Consulting Group and I really look forward to it. I’ve always wanted to break into data science + consulting, and still vividly remember how disappointed I was when Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company both rejected me in first/final rounds 2 years ago (Bain & Company didn’t even care to interview me😊). At the end of the day it’s just a job, but I just want to encourage everyone: stick to your goals,do the hard work and it will pay off
Can investment bankers answer this question: do people always choose bulge bracket (GS, Citi, ML etc) over boutique investment banks (Moelis, Houlihan Lokey etc)? I am asking this to understand if people will choose T2 firms like Oliver Wyman over MBB in the future. There is a value of working at a high prestige boutique in investment banking. Can the same happen in the future in consulting?
If you’re a recent MBA grad, consider refinancing your student loans with Earnest, already saving me lots of $$ vs. in-school rates
Hi guys, I have an interview this week for Brand Specialist role in Amazon. There is a round for excel case study ( about an hour). Can anyone please guide and help me out how to prepare for this! Thanks in advance.
