And, while very obviously working I replied “well we aren’t a bank”. My manager was shocked for like 5 seconds and repeated what I said. Am I in trouble?

I worked remote during the pandemic and now my manager cannot see his way to letting us work from home. Our department is the only one in the organization that is in the office all the time.
