Gas vs Electrical range. Is one worth more when looking at property value (going thru a kitchen remodel)

I think Gas is generally preferred by those who cook. At least I prefer it and have heard similar from others. Ultimately probably not a deal breaker for a house though

like

Not a dealbreaker, but gas is definitely preferred. Even by people who don’t seem to cook…

Lolllllll

Gas is so much better. Wouldn't be a deal breaker tho

Gas is always preferred. Even on islands where there is no gas from the mainland, it is always preferred to have gas ranges with propane tanks on the property. Even if people don’t cook.

Gas….and a lot of people prefer it so I’d think your resale potential would be that nudge up. If you go electric I’d at least go with induction.

Have has line ready and go with gas. Electric can be installed instead if desired

What are the best ways to reduce my out of pocket expenses when buying, this can be negotiating options or other ideas? I’m 25 and a first time home buyer and would like to keep a good amount in my savings. I plan on only putting 3% down and am looking for homes within the 350-400 range but received a pre approval for up to 600.

Has anyone here bought new build townhouse before? I'm about to close in 2 weeks and the contract states that nothing can delay or stop the closing even if something needs repair. If something needs repair, they will fix it while we're living there. And we have warranty for everything for a year. So my question is, should I just save money and have an house inspector come until 3 months before the year is up?

We moved into a 25 year old home recently and inspection was clean. There’s one room downstairs with built in cabinets that we ripped out and patched / repainted, however the non-uniform drywall texture was very obvious so we called drywall repair out to retexture (orange peel look). They spent a day sanding down and retexturing and it looked great, waited 2 days per their instruction and primed / repainted…

We own a rental property that has appreciated quite a bit and have the opportunity to do a 30-yr cash out refi at 75% LTV that would leave us with about $200,000 at the end of the deal. Rent currently wouldn’t cover the costs and we’d need to deploy the cash and earn about $750/mo to break even. We’d ideally like to use the money to invest in other property and syndicates. Seem like a good idea? Not sure if we are over leveraging ourselves and it’s worth the risk.

We have fully renovated our house, now nearly everything is new. new windows sidings all interior finishes newly expanded yard etc. we are on market for a while now and haven’t received an offer we wanted. Feedbacks are no grass in backyard and price is high in the neighborhood. However almost none of our neighbors’ house have been renovated like ours and our appraisal came higher. Any advise to promote sale? Do you guys really think this low maintenance yard is the deal breaker? Twin citie MN

What happens if I have enough for a 10% down payment and maybe like $2-3k left (excluding emergency savings), but not enough for closing costs? Can I get pre approved? Just trying to buy my first home and want to do it asap (within the next 2 months). How do I avoid closing costs and what’s gonna happen if I go through the whole process and I tell them I don’t have enough for closing costs?

Making an offer. The sellers said they had 30+ people walk through the open house today, and are asking for best and final. They’ll make a decision on Monday. The list price is 775k. We were originally thinking of offering 700 to start since comps are around 735k. However, this is nicer than the comps renovation-wise. What would you all suggest we offer? We’d rather lose the house than overpay, so this concerns us.

Lender shopping before I close out on my first home. Is 3.5% a good rate for putting 20% down on a home? How can I go about having my lender match other lenders? For context, the home I’m building in Texas has a lender that will cover $5k in closing costs if I go with them, and that’s the rate they’re giving me. I realize the rates are going back up and just wanted any advice on if it’s best to lock that in the next week or keep shopping as my closing is May 14. Thanks in advance!

Question for my tax gurus. Want to refinance my rental property. I assume I can deduce closing costs, new interest expenses. The cash im pulling out, however, is going to a personal reason.
