First, love a bottom that was a former top. Hot.
Second, as previously stated, upping your fiber with a supplement goes a long way. Also, just eating consciously is important: try to eat more fibrous foods and less grease (kale does wonders).
Third, Douching can be helpful but it’s not s requirement in my experience.
Fourth, I clean my ass with an exfoliating scrub. I also highly recommend the Studio Ready coffee scrub if someone’s going to put their face down there. It’s expensive, but I buy the travel version that is smaller and it lasts a while when only used for special occasions.
Fifth, chill. Poop comes out of your butt. You just have to accept that, and don’t freak out if there is some residue every now and then.

Adding more fibre to your diet helps. Daily supplements of Metamucil or its natural form (psyllium husk) are good ways to achieve this. Also, I use lube when I’m douching and go in with a d1ld0 after to check. A poo stool is also helpful for pre-douching on the toilet but also good for whenever you have to number 2.
Get a bidet. Easy retro-fit to your existing toilet. Good first step to being generally fresher. I hate #2 elsewhere now. Cleaning with paper is not effective!
Correct way: eat more fiber and occasionally use the bulb you can get at a store or Amazon to spray water in.
Desperate situations, sit on a water bottle and spray water. Not trying to be funny, I’ve done it before haha

Echo on the fiber. Id also suggest determining what foods throw your system out of whack.
I typically aim for 2-4 rounds. Any more and it’s just not the right time. That’s my own personal preference though.

I've found that fiber causes incomplete, soft and excessive movements that are messier / harder to clean whereas with no fiber I can have cleaner fuller movements with less risk of mess. Does that make any sense?

Depends on the rest of your diet.
Fiber is a great source, but as you get more in tune with your own body, you will know that some days it just isn’t going to happen. Listen to your body, take psyllium husk fiber daily and do some light douching. Also if your partner is a bit above average use some toys before hand to acclimate your body

I'd say Vitamins and Fiber help a lot. But it also depends on your diet. I use “OneADay” vitamins pills and 1-2 pills of “Pure for Men,” which I feel is my best friend anytime I'm thinking of wanting to bottom for my spouse. I hate making any mess cause I consider clean is the way to go always, so I have a shower hose that connects to my shower and acts as an enema douche, but it's more efficient. I definitely think any gay couple should have the necessary tools to ensure cleanliness fun but some just don't need it luckily.
