You are making me nervous. should I check my W2s too?
Always check your W2s. Also, NY requires reporting all wages on the W2. When you file you pay taxes on the number of days worked in the state.
Nope. I would bet they probably didn't. Call payroll
Did you classify your time incorrectly?
Didn't badge in, didn't fly in. Only was physically in that state two weekends to visit friends in which I drove. Also EY1 just added a new bump. I did work in NY, did not have a W2 for it. Assumed I didn't meet the threshold. Only was there for three weeks.
Did you work in the mystery state in 2015? We have our bonus payments allocated based on two years prior time allocation because that's the period during which it was earned.
Planning too. Yes, I'm sure they know their stuff but why would I get a w2 for a state that I never worked it.
Nope just checked. Zero time charged to that state
Maybe accidentally coded a day to a state that requires employer to claim all wages
Weird interested to know how this one plays out
Did you badge into an office in the state in question?
Did you fly into that state? Sometimes if the audit team really cares, they will change your time to where you flew into on Thursday.
You should get a W2 for NY if you reported time there. I think they only have an 8 hour threshold
They mixed up NY with whatever rando state you got?
Expense gross up?
That happened to me last year. Instead of my actual home address someone entered the Deloitte home office address smh. #annoying
