I personally hated selling insurance. I did it through a broker where we had to go to people's houses and it was the absolute worst!

I also hated selling insurance. Glad it is working out for you though!

I am a 17 year seasoned outpatient PT in Tampa FL who is the current head PT for my clinic. I do marketing, admin duties as well as staffing. I haven’t gotten a base hourly salary raise in 8 years! (I do get a percentage of profits but due to Covid, haven’t gotten one in 2 yrs). I do not get 401k, con Ed or health insurance benefits.
Current salary is $85K. I am getting very frustrated that this has not increased even after asking. Thoughts? What to do? What do other seasoned FL PTs make?

Let’s take a poll: What do you love/hate about your position in Insurance? I’ll go first:

Florida PIP Litigation 1+yrs at Progressive

Love: WFH, Flexibility of not being “chained to desk” all day because I don’t have to take outside customer calls, ability to complete work assigned at any time of day within 72hrs, no micromanaging from my Supervisor, feeling like I’m my own boss

Hate: getting assigned bulks from others and it throws off efficiency of reviewing suits, monotony, depositions

Was talking to a colleague who told me every email she read she would bill as an additional .1 to her block bill for that matter. How common is this? If it’s very common then I am undercutting myself because I add max .5 at the end of the day to capture my email reading time when I might get 200+ deal related emails a day

It’s been 18 month since my firm forced promotion or severance on to us as they eliminated my position. They promised an increase in commission based pay at the end of the licensing period. Its been 2 months (6 pay periods) since I completed this and no change. They say they are waiting for the licenses to post officially, but have all the evidence that I’ve passed. Should I demand back pay for the last 2 months they’ve been paying me as an unlicensed banker while I’m actually licensed?

The actual topic isn’t what’s important as it’s more about then actual skills show cased.. I’m currently struggling to decide on an easy topic that would suit well - between the topic and then any other words of advise I can use some tips for this !!

Tech companies are mostly built up of 22ish-40ish year olds (not data, just how it feels) which makes sense as tech has been booming for only 20ish years. What happens in the next 10-20 years when the ones who are older for tech now, become actually old for the workforce. Do we get phased out by young people due to lack of relevancy? Or will we have 50-60 year old SAAS sales people, project managers, etc, still in the space and about to retire?

New to the Bowl, greetings to all. I have a question for the sales leaders in the group about the design of sales comp plans. We are in professional services and our customers are about 50:50 retained and project-based. As such, we have an appetite for steady new business acquisition in addition to a need to provide excellent account management. Our gigs are usually in the 150K-750K range. Our BD process is very consultative, 99% of our leads are inbound. <more...>
