Is a daily 1.5 hour commute (total) worth a more supportive work environment and better benefits?
Thinking of jumping ship after just 6 months in a fully remote position for an in-house, in person job where expectation is 5d/week in person. Commute would be around 90minutes/day in interstate. Better salary, good 401k match, parental leave (20 weeks paid), 4wks PTO, and a very big name for the resume. 3 YOE. But I love the flexibility of remote work, so struggling to decide.
Any insight???

I've heard their Atlanta office is ran by a nutcase, allegedly
Find alums from the specific location you have the offer. Heard horror stories about a southeast office.
No direct experience working there but my interactions with them as outside counsel have been less than pleasant.
I worked in a Texas office for a few years and loved the people but hated the work. My biggest issue is the salaries seem to be entirely discretionary based on the office. I was a 3rd year getting $150k. When I got an offer at another firm they offered to raise my salary $50k to match. If they could make that big of a jump they were clearly underpaying me.
Year, location, and area of law?
I work with a couple of the Chicago office partners. They are smart and friendly to work with. The pay is above average for a firm that derives a lot of its business from insurance companies. Did you get pitched on the bonus structure? That’s their selling point for compensation so I am assuming it was pushed.
