I am getting frustrated with my team's ways of working. E.g. It takes an entire day to update one line of copy because copywriters need so, and project managers will not follow up until EOD. No one asks questions or follow up. I have had multiple conversations with everyone on the team, but no one including my boss get why this is a problem. I can already tell that the clients are concerned since they made a joke out of it in every weekly status. What should I do?

So the partner tells you to watch your email all night because the deal team is known to send emails in the middle of the night and expect responses right away. Do you bill for the time that you should be sleeping? I slept in 45 min- 1 hour increments so I could check email and am incredibly exhausted, but ended up getting no work to do while checking. I’m inclined to bill at least a couple hours for it (but prob not all night) since I greatly inconvenienced myself to be available. Thoughts?

Any advice on getting out of real estate law? I want out of real estate. I’ve tried residential, hated the client work but loved the drafting aspect. And I’m now in CRE working in house, and I love it but again, I hate the client work and am also not drafting as often as I’d like. Any advice on fields I could transition to?

For questions as to why you are looking to leave your current firm.. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? Is there a better way to frame my answer?

I sobbed for 3 hours today before giving a 30 minute presentation that I was perfectly prepared for and that went well. My diagnosed anxiety is too severe for this industry. I’m a high performer, Ivy League business school grad, with top competitor experience and I do good work, happily. But the intensity or high stakes or scrutiny involved with everything here wreaks havoc on my anxiety levels. The nerves are just so overwhelming. I thought I could manage this but sadly I can’t :/
