Has anyone had any success with a Neti-pot? I don't really want to be congested and miserable for my pto week 😅
Just venting… I know things could be a lot worse but going through a really tough time personally. Everything from potential finance issues to sick kid to furnace breaking to death in the family. Taking some time off soon but really at my wits end.
A male coworker who I’ve only met virtually has sent me Zoom messages commenting on my appearance and asking to meet my pet if he ever visits my city (we aren’t based out of the same city). He also commented that my planned vacation destination sounds romantic and asked if I was going with an SO. cont.
I got feedback from my top choice that I need to increase GMAT. I’ve taken it 3 times in 5 years and the GRE once in that time period. Virtually the same score each time. Self study, took a class, took time off work, etc. Anyone have ideas on what I can say to show I’m still trying? I have strong quant grades from UVA ugrad, done HBX core, happy to take a quant class again but don’t know if there is anything else I can do. I thought the test score was only one piece of the app. Gpa/ 3:53
There are so many holiday parties to attend. Any advice on how to make it to many and still be a functional human by the end of the week?
Is it appropriate to send networking emails this week and next (during the holiday period)? I’m thinking about exiting in 2021 and want to start connecting with people in my network about general career advice and potential job opportunities.
I went on a vacation to Vegas with my girlfriend (now ex) and two of her exes. And we shared a room. That’s my confession.
What’s a new holiday tradition you’re excited to start this year? Doesn’t matter if it’s for yourself, your family, or even friends.
There’s this 2nd/rising 3rd year in my group who’s CONSTANTLY dropping the ball in my cases. Now he’s simply gone on vacation without telling me and I’ve been left scrambling to respond to a gov’t request. I’m about to strongly suggest to the partners that this person should be fired. Dumb move?
Lots of comments on here are legit criticism where our industry could be better. That’s a good thing. But stepping away from that for 1 sec to just wish you a safe and Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday.
When you start going back to the gym and everyone makes the same stupid joke "so are you going to take a vacation from us every tax season" #idontdotax
I don't remember the last time Ive put in a PTO request. Since wfh, everyday is or could or could not be a PTO day.
Partners, any fun vacation ideas for say 10 days? Traveling with just my wife without our son after such a long time and want it to be special.
How was your holiday party?
How strict are state quarantine laws when traveling from out of state? I want to rent a house for a couple days for a weekend mini vacation but state says 14 day quarantine.
Seriously considering applying for a working holiday visa in New Zealand or Ireland. So burned out and it feels like now or never. Thoughts?
Going on vacation for 2 weeks. Deleted my work email from my phone and blocked all my coworkers on my iPhone. Pure disconnect, I am beyond excited.

Anyone have suggestions for a new computer monitor?
I need something that can physically move (adjust) up and down (not tilt) as much as possible, more than 6". I've looked on Best Buy, Newegg, B&H, Amazon, etc. and haven't had much luck. Unfortunately a standing desk of any kind isn't an option. Ideally looking for something other than $500.
Thanks in advance.
