Get H1b stamp in Canada instead of home country? Has anyone done it before?

First time approved H1b fish - what was the duration of the validity you got? A friend got only 12 months.. seems strange! I thought 3 years was the norm.

I have received the CoS from Accenture UK on 8th March but I have not received any Visa Application link. It's been 2 weeks but the PwC Visa Team is not providing any link for Visa Application. Does it take this much of time to just get the Visa Application Link?
