Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Adopt 40 shelter dogs with that $$
Training. Hands down. Don’t be a dummy with an untrained dog.
Vet visits, medication, & food. Use Chewy.
You’ll go through 2k faster than you think in Year 1!

Buy things as you need them. Don’t just spend the 2K because you have it, you’ll end up with toys the dog never used, a crate they never sleep in, etc. Also vets are $$$. Spend the money on puppy school, training (serves as great bonding), and kennels for when you travel
The neuter! The castration, the no more poppy procedure... that one was expensive..

Pet insurance. If you get the pet insurance when there a new puppy it’s very inexpensive and if Something Happens you’ll be very happy you have it

I disagree. Just a simple “getting my puppy fixed” turned into a 5k situation due to complications and the dog was not even 6 months old. Insurance covered 90%
Vet visits!!!!
Pet insurance like the other comments! You can get options that cover routine vet exams. Peace of mind knowing when your dog has a cough and the vet bill is 600 dollars the insurances covers 500. Especially as a new dog owner since everything they do is worrisome for the first year

Vet visit, food, toys, harness, leash
Training.
Ditto on training and vet costs! Invest now to have a well behaved and healthy dog for their lifetime.
Weird flex but ok

Hey, maybe it's their first grand-puppy! It's a very sweet gesture, but I'd also look into maybe donating some of the money to a local pet shelter in pup's name :-)
Definitely vet visits. I have a 5 month old puppy. We got the plan with our vet that includes unlimited free visits but if we didn’t we would’ve paid over $500 more by now.
Pet insurance, Small turf, tick collars, harness and collar in multiple sizes.
Don’t buy it all at once, pace it out. Also don’t overdo on toys. They’ll end up playing with sticks and socks. Definitely focus on training. Labs can b high energy and big, need to make sure they aren’t jumping on people or nipping
Poop pads, toys, food, bedding, poop bags, vet insurance, leash and nice collar.
Training, training treats, training materials (if you’re going to clicker train or anything like that), non marking cleaning spray, puppy pads if needed, training treats, something to protect your car if you’re bringing him in there, leash/collar/harness, brush, ear cleaning solution or wipes, shampoo, coat spray, nail trimmers, poop bags & leash attachment, teething toys
Just got a puppy 3 mon ago and this is what I can think of right now

Chewey is great for food, toys, and other needs so putting it towards that is most useful.
He’ll destroy toys, beds and whatnot so you can replace those. Food, poop bags, and pee pads along with floor cleaner are good to have.
Vet - esp for a spay/neuter procedure - or personalized training!
