I graduated with a master's degree in Dec 2021 and have been struggling to find a job since then. There’s a huge range of MTM quality, so it’s hard to say. Fabric matters, so work with a brand that has a shop where you can check our fabric swatches. There’s no way to fully diligence without going hands-on, and seeing whether it looks cheap & shiny vs something James Bind would wear.
Also ask about construction: you want a tux to last, so look for canvas vs fused. http://hespokestyle.com/fused-vs-canvassed-suits/

Personally, I’ve never had one-and-done for custom, even from Turnbull & Asser in London, although my son had perfect fit on his first try with Proper Cloth.
