Good morning everyone, any advice on how to pivot from a career in Accoutning to Project Management? Here's some background, 12YOE in public accounting, recent finished a tech project management bootcamp certification course and will sit for the PSM exam soon. Looking for roles in Associate/Jr PM, Implementation Consultant or BA. Any advice will be appreciated.
For anyone that completed their Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certification. How did you prep for the exam? What resources helped you? What steps did you take to complete it? How was the exam? I’m planning on getting mine this month. I’m a bit confused after reading the guide/handbook yesterday.
Would doing a top MBA be a better opportunity than what I am doing now? Profile: 2 YOE B4 consulting; 3 YOE Product M at A; TC/year 210k; GMAT 740; State School 2.8 GPA I don’t have plans to lateral into another field (yet) and I already work alongside Post MBA PMs. I just feel like an MBA at this point is more for the networking rather than for the campus recruiting (to lateral into another field). I also feel like “the time is ticking” for me to make a decision comparing to others in MBAs.
Hi All! I need some quick advice. Is it better to go for a MBA (over 17k in debt) or a ProSic certification? My company would cover the cert, but they don’t offer any tuition reimbursement, unfortunately… I want to be at the Director level in 5years, but I’ve heard I need a graduate degree to even be considered… I’ve considered leaving my current company just for better benefits/pay.
Hello all . I need advise for switching my career to forensic accounting practice. Im currently working almost 5yrs for corporate banking, which is obviously non related forensic or accounting practice, but passed all Cpa exam already for career change. What else do i need to be prepared to hunt the foresic job in neat future? The level doesnt matter. I just want to start off with forensic accouting practice. Is additional CFE helpful? Any advise for career change? Would that be hard?
It looks like I’m going to go 0/3 on my MBB apps :( Where are the next best consulting firms to go to assuming that my primary goals in no particular order are MBA placement, compensation, project/industry variety, and ability to be promoted quickly?
Need to recertify my AWS-SAA cert. any recommendations on best resources given the new test format (SAA-CO2)?

Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).
I'm thinking about pursuing a MBA with an emphasis in technology. In the short term, I want to move into a product manager role and then ultimately have my own tech startup. I know having a MBA is not necessary to achieve either goal, but I wonder if it would help prepare me. Has anyone gotten their MBA? Do you feel it was a worthwhile degree?
What are your thoughts on APICS CSCP certification? Is it truly worth the time? Industrial engineer with 2 YOE, looking for advise on whether is a good investment or not. Thanks!

CPRA - how are people explaining the difference between Service Providers and Contractors to clients ramping up for CPRA compliance? It seems like it comes down to the business’ intention in hiring the vendor and whether the processing of PI is a primary purpose or a byproduct of the relationship.
So something that I hate is how districts list the teacher to student ratio. My school is listed 1 teacher for every 14 students. Ha! I’ve had 30+ students in 5 class for 20 years. I don’t think they should include professionals that don’t work with kids everyday.
Found out dome how I was awarded a 3 this year at EY, believe that was bullshit, have not had a chance to discuss with my partner, reached out to industry contacts to say I'm ready to move, cont
For those fully remote but have team/company offsites for in-person collaboration, do you require everyone to be at the offsite, or are there options to still dial-in remotely? Our team isn’t really accommodating dial-ins because of “logistics” – proper conferencing/equipment, etc and I think it excludes people who can’t always travel cross country. But wanted to hear how other companies do it.
can i get a bit of help guys 😶🌫️

I’ve basically had it with my MIL. Flew to celebrate her 60th birthday this past weekend and today find out that she texted my husband that she’s “disappointed that only one person (me) didn’t call / text her” on her actual birthday sometime last week. She knows we are doing IVF and have a ton going on with work, and I’m so fed up with her BS. On top of this she texted this before our weekend visit and my husband never told me, so I feel awkward not having addressed it. I’m frustrated with both
I hit rock bottom (I mean it) and in 6 weeks I managed a vacation, landed a new job, found a great guy, and landed a bomb apartment. Everything can change at the drop of a hat - keep your chin up.
