Getting induced tomorrow and still don’t have a name for baby girl! We have a polish last name, any ideas?

I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

Is a move to Dubai worth it? Currently in the US (Pakistani background - but my whole family is in the US). Thinking about relocating with my wife and 4 year old just for a change. Any woman here who suffers from either PMDD or bipolar disorder? How did your doctors know the difference? I experience severe depression the week before my period and am very easy to set off/lose myself. Like full on hating myself, over sensitivity, and wishing to unalive. Then during my period plus after I return to “manic” happiness and productivity. Both my mother and grandmother were diagnosed as bipolar yet also had menstrual problems and I’m beginning to think they were misdiagnosed.

Best way to deal with family members who treat you like the family therapist? Over thanksgiving my aunt disclosed some intense stuff to me and asked me for my help/opinion, and it was uncomfortable. I don't feel good saying just don't talk to me about stuff like that, but I also am not paid to give therapy to my own family and the things they tell me put me in weird situations with other family members. I had a baby a few months ago. I’m currently at a midsize regional firm with 1750 billables and $140k salary, that does not allow regular WFH. I’m considering lateraling to a firm that would be 1900 billables (with 200 “development” hours on top of that) but potentially allow full WFH and the salary would be at least $50k higher.

Any advice on deciding between the two? My thinking is that the WFH and higher salary would make up for the higher billables, but I go back and forth.

I don’t understand how someone can lie about loving you for 6 months. We were together for almost a year (broke up a week before our anniversary). I said I love you first and he said it back. I asked for more reassurance last month with saying I love you more often. Now all of a sudden he said he didn’t know if he loved me and that love meant marriage for him. Okay well great thanks for telling me this now, 6 months after it was initially exchanged. I don’t understand how he could do that.

Venting moment: can we discuss how every symptom is either “you’re miscarrying/dying” or “totally normal pregnancy symptom” and there is no in between? Crazy cramps? Either ectopic/dying or normal because hormones. Sudden horrible back pain? Either miscarriage or totally normal because hormones.

Having twins! 10 weeks pregnant. Meeting with genetic counselor tomorrow to discuss testing options. I’m honestly leaning towards CVS… I want to know as much info as possible at highest accuracy. Did anyone else opt for that kind of invasive testing? Why/why not? The fact that I’m having twins is what’s making me want to jump to that level of invasiveness…

I emailed the doctor to see if I should go in for a check. Meanwhile, I am wondering what I can do. The neighbor didn’t say sorry or anything. Hello! I’m only about 4 weeks pregnant, so super early. I am about to go on vacation and thankfully did a quick search on some “dos and donts” for the first trimester. I am v disappointed to see I shouldn’t do saunas and hot tubs as my vacation was really planned to be all relaxation. But it got me thinking, could you all share the most surprising pregnancy do or don’t you’ve encountered? I feel like I just need a master list cause there seem to be so many limitations 😭
