venture x is what i have it’s nice. gives you free priority pass and hertz gold discount
Let me know if u want a referral for ventureX
Ive been a fan of venture x card after switching from chase reserve last year. Hopefully they don’t start decreasing value of the benefits like the reserve did.
They already have. See priority pass
Rising Star
Personal opinion, I have pretty much every chase + Amex card, the biggest issue with the Platty is that you have to really be on top of the benefits to get value out of it. I used to use it heavily for the Centurion lounge but crowds and my disinterest in being in airports longer really has diminished that benefit. I think for simplicity sake the Capital one is better, and way less out of pocket that you don’t have to really work to recoup your money.
Venture X makes point redemption really easy if you don’t want to deal with transferring miles/points, you can redeem 1 mile for one cent on travel purchases right in the app. I’ve had no issues booking hotels and rental cars in the app and those are 10x points, so basically getting 10% back on those purchases. Flights are 5x. Very straightforward card that pays for itself, which is why I chose it.

Venture X is good if you want an everyday spend card that earns transferrable points and live in/frequent Dallas or DC. Portal is weak and so is the necessity to use it for the travel credit, but if you can work around that restriction it pays for itself. Would not recommend holding it as your primary/only travel card since you’ll want to be able to book directly with carriers/hotels/etc. Could be a good pairing with a CSP
Amex Plat is good if you have a focus on premium experiences, including lounge and elite dining access, and can maximize the credits. Also especially if you fly Delta. Note that you can knock the annual fee down by $150 through your corporate card. The heightened points on booking directly with airlines is a great opportunity to stack points up and this can functionally serve as a primary/only travel card.
Don’t have the Plat, but happy to refer you to the Venture X if you go that route.

To combat that, I basically use my Venture X for $300 in the portal and that’s it. The rest of the spend is for the 2x in places where I don’t have a better card (e.g. gas stations, Target, event ticketing, etc.)
Happy to split the referral bonus for the Venture X if ya decide to go for it
I swear by Amex Platinum, but I’m in it for the lounges and the 1:1 point transfer to Delta.

Venture X for everyday spend. I’ve found their travel portal often offers better prices than a lot of travel sites and you get 10x points. Only issue is you need to pay everything upfront.
Amex is great for traveling. Knew i had a ton of travel coming up with Delta and grabbed it, as well as the bonus. Enjoyed the different lounges and racked up a ton of points
Have you considered Amex Gold? Love the points for grocery and food
