Getting too pregnant for my Lo&Sons shoulder bag. Thinking about switching to a backpack. What's a good professional backpack for females?

You're pregnant honey, the world is your oyster (I'm a male) and do what you please

Professional backpack has to be an oxymoron

Tumi backpacks are probably your best bet. And they have the little sleeve so you can slide them on top of carry ons.

like

Just buy a bigger tote with a strong base, and keep it on top of your carry on while you're on the road. If you're pregnant, you shouldn't have to worry about carrying something on your shoulder or your back. Good luck.

I think you have the only valid reason in the world to bring a roller briefcase.

I agree with P1, Tumi makes some great looking backpacks for women

like

Congrats ❤️ And I agree, Tumi makes great bagpacks

I was having back problems and bought a black lulu lemon backpack. Honestly, it fits way more stuff than any of the tumi backpacks I saw, less expensive, and pretty cute.

like

I'm on a local project now so no carry-on to roll around unfortunately. Agree that laptop case on wheels is probably the best option but overall those ones weigh a lot so I'm a bit hesitant (carrying it up and down the stairs to the subway). It's possible that backpack will not be much better on my spine but at least it's better weight distribution on both shoulders rather than one.

like

Woman here and I love my Tumi backpack. The nylon fabric makes it light weight

Lo & sons makes a backpack too now.

Whatever makes you happy! Pregnancy is har enough.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out the Tumi site. A1, does the lululemon backpack have a separate laptop compartment?

Yes, depending on the style. They usually come with a shoe bag too 👍

I have the tTumi Olivia convertible backpack

This from a male si forgive the ignorance. Just thinking about the load disbursement on the spinal cord with the baby in the front and back pack in the back. Would you not be better off with a laptop bag 💼 with wheels that sits on top of the suitcase when walking at the airport. Lastly with obvious pregnancy size enhancements do you want a backpack 🎒 to pull on your top?

I just put my 4mo in daycare last week (3 days per week) they are amazing helping us transition (baby still not taking a bottle). And I can’t imagine the year they have had putting themselves at risk.
What do other people give their daycare teachers and support teachers for the holidays? I was thinking 50 cash each but my husband thought that was too much.... I didn’t think it was enough but don’t have a lot of extra cash. Any tips? Do you give equal amount or more for lead teacher?
Thanks!

Would you take it personal if your hubby keeps forgetting about mother's day and basically doing nothing special for you even after you have expressed in the past it is sort of important to you. I am wondering if I am overreacting over some made up event? I am so upset and I am taking this extremely personal.

So I have a Kindergarten student who daily struggles with emotional regulation. They will easily get really upset or angry. Then once they have calmed down are great. However, the teacher isn’t helping the problem. She expects a 5 year old can immediately listen to instructions and sit for extended periods of time. She doesn’t seem to try and talk him down but gets frustrated when he starts. I need help as I’m at my wits end. I want this kid to have success & the teacher to change her practice.

Advice needed. I work in house at a science/tech company in LA. 1 YOE (graduated 2021 & passed bar), and gaining commercial and government contracting experience. I’ve been working from home from a different state for the past three years. The GC and AGC also live and work in different states and fly into CA as needed. Recently the GC (who I have a great relationship with) mentioned that she wants me to get some experience w/classified projects which would require me (continued in comments)…

While I’ve been to the Hamptons many times and enjoy it there, I don’t think is I’d mind being in a quieter and less overtly fancy area. All I really want is a place with a few good restaurants, a nearby beach, and a golf course - I can go to Prada in the city.
