I took two weeks off and was interviewing for jobs outside of public during that time. If I am offered a position before I am back from PTO, would it be wrong to put in my two weeks while still on PTO?

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?

SC brings up another point, do you let your team and supervisors know you are in recovery? I have always lived by the adage I may be the only Big Book anyone sees, so I always let my co-workers and management know I'm in recovery. I'm also a DCM so it helps book time off to go to Area Assemblies.

Coming up on my AWS loop and one thing is sticking out as a red flag - PTO. I’d be coming from uPTO with a lot of flexibility, Christmas week off, etc.. I had time off between jobs. I thought it would be a great chance to reconnect with my son go things together, bring him to see his friends. Museums, road trip, swimming. My free time/ time away from 50+ hour work weeks is minimal.. every suggestion for activity I've made is met with a grumble. Everytime I suggested leave the house he drags his feet and complains. All he wants to do is sit inside?? And when we go anywhere all he does is complain or give dirty looks. It is exhausting.
