So basically this thread is so off topic... No wonder a women's movement can never take flight we eat each other up and tear each other down. I love women but dang we can be so catty. I think if KPMG1 had just said I spend blab blah on clothes it would have been ok, but they didn't they said because girls judge me. So I instantly thought three things 1) why does this person give in 2) why are those girls judging her 3) OMG am I being judged. This made me feel bad about myself and therefore want to attack the KPMG1 poster. ๐พ๐พ๐๐
I was initially worried about being judged for repeating outfit weekly. Then I tried to remember what my closest friend wore a week before, I didn't remember a single thing. I stopped worrying about repeating outfit, nobody remembers. Unless it's personal ๐
Snapchat selfies. Duh.
Meh. I'm a girl as well, and I would find it exhausting constantly being careful about not wearing something two weeks in a row or something. Lots of better things to worry about. Of course, if you just like fashion then that's ok, but don't go broke trying to keep up with the stepford wives (girls?) ๐
I have a nice two week rotation. Low maintenance working girl here.
Because I've never even heard of anyone with your shopping habits and it's baffling
I wear the same top in one week, judge away. #IDONTCARE
Banana republic, mm lafleur, sometimes target as our dress policy lives right above sweatpants.
I need to care more apparently. I have no shame wearing the same outfit four times a month... Absolutely no shame. I'm married already, don't have anyone else to really impress.
^ best part is - no one has any idea my clothes are from H&M and people constantly compliment and ask where I shop lol
@kpmg1, why do you wear your clothes so infrequently?
Seems like you're in an office where the girls are competing against each other rather than supporting each other ... Shame.
Stop judging KPMG 1.. She's not spending your money ๐
Kpmg1 wants a sugar daddy to support her while she spends her salary on shopping ๐ #judging #butalsokidding
If I wanted a sugar daddy I would be shopping at better stores than H&M ๐ #guccilouisfendiprada
I'm a guy and easily spend 2-3k a year on just 1 or 2 good suits. Kpmg1 is not an outlier. We're paid to project a certain image of professionalism and slickness to our clients. It's why lawyers dress to the nines. It's a differentiator and builds confidence. Not judging if you're just in the office, but decent clothes are a must for client facing work.
My entire wardrobe for work is H&M. Wear 1-4x within the year (or every 6 months for me) and then Salvation Army. Very Inexpensive. Surprisingly Pretty good quality. And still very stylish. $20 for a button down shirt that fits like a glove (and wash and nothing happens to it). Can't go wrong!!
KPMG 1, any girls who are that judgmental can GTFO because I seriously hope people have better things to do. 100 blouses at $20 each for 6 months is still $4k per year
Lol come to my office. Girls will stare you up and down everyday head to toe. ESPECIALLY my cliquey office. I'm not really "worried" about them though. Yeah it's annoying but I also enjoy dressing nice and I've always been the type to not really wear the same outfit too often.
Let's hope 100 was an exaggeration
