What’s the revenue multiple
So… they’re slapping the buzzwords “AI” and “founded by ex-Google employees” to a student loan lending company in the US when the US has the highest student loan debt ever…?
Imo companies are out there to solve problems, and people getting loans in the US is not really a problem at all? Never heard anyone say they can’t find a bank to give them a student loan… banks love giving predatory loans to students.… Type “student loan” into your Google search bar once and you get blasted with ads from all your local banks (that I frankly trust more than an AI and some ex-Google employees) for the next 3 months.
Would be more interesting and i think helpful for others If this company applied their AI knowledge to making paying off student loans easier and better. Not using AI to give even more loans in an already over saturated debt ridden population. ZzzzzZZZzz
May have good returns on the stock market though?
Idk I’m scared of investing in it due to my thoughts above— seems too much like what everyone else is doing in the student loan market. I’m sure their “AI” is cool, but it’s not like Sallie Mae, Discover, Chase, etc don’t also have “AI’s” out there to process applicants. They just don’t use the buzzword “AI” to describe their selection algorithms.
Am I misunderstanding what this company does?

Dude. Insurance is a very competitive and very regulated space. Look beyond the hype.

I’ve looked at their financials… the $0 cost of revenue / COGS makes no sense. There’s something off on the math there. GRPN did some funky things like that with their financials and revenue many years ago. They got hit hard. So I’ll stay away from assuming it’s a long term investment right now.

Things that seem too good to be true usually are.
I’m not saying you need to sell everything here, but it would be stupid not to lock in a nice profit if you’ve gotten most of that post-IPO run. Sell SOME.
