Hi All,
I have 7 years of experience in total in SAP Integration technology and I have been offered C2 manager position with Capgemini with a package of 30.5 LPA.
Is it good to join? Can I still contribute technically at C2 role? Or would it be pure managerial role? Also please let me know how much variable pay would be paid at this role? I have around 2.8L variable per year as a part of the package.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated Capgemini

I love finance (and by that I mean researching potential investments, not investment banking) but I felt like my school’s finance curriculum was only geared to people that wanted to do IB, so I switched to accounting to better understand financial statements.
Now I realize any gap in knowledge would have been insignificant to people thinking I want a “career pivot”, so yea I would’ve stayed finance and gone the equity research route instead. Time in B4 has been an unnecessary side step.
My SO started out in audit and is now in equity research. A lot of his coworkers did too. It’s actually a pretty common path - just work on your CFA and Series exams.
Yes would 100% still major in accounting. Love the fact that I could get fired tomorrow and have a new job by Monday.
Rising Star
This and I also enjoy accounting. It keeps me on my toes and pays well (at my level).
Wouldn’t have changed my majors. I did accounting, finance and analytics. I would have tried to get into a better school. Name brand matters and currently I feel like it’s going to limit my exit ops.
I would study game development instead
IT (specifically coding and software development) or engineering.
Architect
I would’ve studied computer science and become a software engineer
I would have tried harder to go to a better school instead of the small no name state school where my highschool sweetheart was going and try to land a consulting gig.
CS for sure
Probably pursued something in psychology or social work or medical side instead of accounting
Honestly accounting/finance or a STEM major is what I would do if I could go back. As much as I would like to say history, philosophy, english..etc you can always self study those topics, discuss them with friends or on the internet. Needed a syllabus and some bills to motivate me to study the more boring topics..but for sure bartender to answer the prompt.
I would’ve did computer science
Yes. I would at least do a minor in accounting or would have gotten an associate degree at best. It's definitely good knowledge to have, and maybe would help me find a good job to work part-time, while attending a school full-time. It would also be a good back-up major in case my primary major doesn't create the career opportunities I want or expect.
But I wish I had avoided Public Accounting. It's just very hard to understand how demanding this career is and not everyone is cut out for until you have worked on it. Not one of the best careers to have during a pandemic for your mental health.
I think I would’ve stuck with accounting but learned more about coding/programming/tech early on
I think the field is amazing in its flexibility and hireability. There is no field I know of thats offers so much variety for good pay and with so much demand. Most on this board can find a job that balances their salary goals with their personal goal without too much trouble, Whether that is in teaching, industry or public practice. What other career path offers that?
100%. Knew that since day one after college. Would prefer something more “physical”. Sitting down for hours is not my forte
I would be a data scientist
I would be a teacher and a coach…
