Given the market and all the layoffs, curious if anyone has considered different roles to transition into? I really enjoy recruiting but I wonder if there are other roles I should look at and get into since it’s been so tough.

I have received an offer from Deloitte for ‘Project Delivery Senior Anlyst’ position on some technology preferred provider program. It is hire in advance , that means I should get project ‘after joining’.

I have heard PDM is like contract worker, you can get laid off once project ends(just 2 weeks bench). How true is that/how risky it is to join PDM?(considering I am in US on H1B)

I am confused because it’s really better salary than what I make.

How is job security at LTI? I heard employee is fired after 90 days on bench directly.

Need to vent..Started a new role after being laid off this summer. Grateful for a job and a very desirable industry, but annoyed that I didn’t have any leverage to negotiate, so my salary is much lower than before (and role isn’t great either). I want to switch internally but don’t know if I can wait a year. Salary question: Starting to think I’m getting underpaid as I am seeing some high salaries out there and curious to know what others in recruitment are making. Currently, recruiting manager (team of 5) 100% remote for a RPO, 8+ years experience in staffing in multiple areas (MSP, HRG, Branch Manager - agency) with international experience. Education: BA & CIPD HR Management Diploma (SHRM equivalent in the UK). Living in Chicago. Salary $70k 10% bonus, been told being bumped to $80k 12% bonus.

Just a few different ways to utilize a specialized recruiter to hire in the current market:

1. On a confidential search- get more reach on important searches that are not public/can't be posted

2. On an urgent search- when you don't have time to wait for inbound applicants

3. On a niche search- needles in haystacks require additional attention to find

4. On an overwhelming search- you have 200 applicants in 24 hours and no time to do the vetting. We'll narrow it down to the top 3.

At the beginning of the recruiting process I mentioned my wage expectations and the supervisor of the role mentioned that it might be within range. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be extroverted to be a good recruiter. I've had great success in agency and corporate recruiting and I'm introverted leaning.

Is anyone else having a challenging time recruiting? I’m working on an accountant role and affiliate marketing manager role based in NYC and having the hardest time connecting with people who meet the qualifications. I have a bunch of senior people applying to these jobs asking for much higher salary requirements than what’s being offered.
